Many of you will have heard of Facebook (settle down at the back there!)- many of you may use it - but did you know that the Register now has a Facebook presence?

Just get into Facebook and search Triple-M Register and you will find it. Cat Spoelestra looks after the page which is mainly intended for transient snippets of news, pictures or other information, especially things that need to be shared round the community at short notice.

It does not in any way replace this website Forum, it's just another channel of communication through which we can raise people's awareness about our cars - and it's just a bit more fun for us all to share in! Why not take a look?

My Daughter, who understands this sort of thing, put me on face book.... I seem to have 3000 requests to be friends... I don't know that number of people.... what do I do next?
Please send answers by post in an brown paper envelope or it will get recycled..... though I still have not worked out where bicycles fit into this scheme ...
just bring back the good old ash framed computers..... those with nice coloured beads on wires ......

That made me laugh, I am one of those 3000

Facebook is great for sharing news and photos / event reports to a wider audience and spreading the word. It's no good for trying to find answers to questions or problems, this forum is much better for that

The Rover Clubs have been using facebook for quite a few years, then Rover was always very progressive.

This post had me in stitches, I'm still laughing.
Seriously though after years of critising FB my wife Rachael signed me up and I love it. There were so many MG and old car closed groups you can join and the photos and items are fascinating.
Security is not a problem , you just choose who can see your page.Give it a try and I guarentee it will waste many hours of your time !

Is that old codger wearing a bow tie and matching braces you Simon?

Well done Cat, I have had a look at the link which marks my first foray into Facebook. My 18 year old granddaughter is well up to speed and tells me I should join. Mmmm!

Close, George, close! When I wear a tie (which isn't often these days) it's a bow tie; but I never really got into gallases.

As for Facebook, never forget that you're the product!

The main downside of Facebook is it's forever suggesting people who I should be friends with that I've been avoiding for 40 years.
