Brian,
Sorry to be pedantic, but

The the aluminium manifold off the side of the cylinder head is the water/coolant outlet, thus the lower brass elbow on the cylinder block water jacket plate is the inlet. (NOTE: When a water pump is fitted, the inlet plate may be re-positioned to the rear block aperture).
- cooled 'cold' water IN at the bottom, hot OUT at the top.

Hi Bruce,
When I started the search for this part I indeed noted this request as "Looking for a water inlet". After no response and looking through the "library" that came with the car I was still unsure of the name. When checking our suppliers I noted them calling the water jacket plate hole a water outlet. This then is why I changed the title of my search to that name. I understand cooled water enters through this location and exits the upper manifold.

Best,

Hi Brian,
I understand the difficulty when incorrect nomenclature is used to describe parts.
Another one is the inverted 'U' hoops and rubbers fitted over the P Type rear axle which is frequently called a 'rebound stop' rather than a 'bump stop' ....... suspension bump travel is upwards, rebound is down.

Brian, "On top of all that I speak American..."

From the northwest USA, nearly close enough to speak 'Canadian', almost one us then!!..................but the language is called 'ENGLISH' .
Cold winters up there, so make sure you use a good quality anti-freeze - 50/50 mix to get plenty of corrosion protection as well. See http://www.triple-mregister.org/uploads/retro/Engine_cooling.pdf
We'll get there in the end.
Cheers.

Bruce

In winter I prefer a mix of 9 parts Ballvenie antifreeze to 1 part water. 50/50 ruins the 'antifreeze'.

Thank you Gents,

Look's fantastic Foz.

At this time and for some time yet PA 1024 is protected O2 antifreeze. I dream of the day I drive from my rural home to my rural work shop...

Kindly,

So, you like running on a weak mixture then!!!!!! don't overheat your valves.
