An hour ago, all of the tickets for the entries received so far were posted to everyone from Seattle. The 167 addressed envelopes have been shipped in bulk to John Hicks in Gotherington for onward posting locally next week. Cat, I have sent all of the Dutch tickets directly to you under separate cover. All of these tickets should be with everyone by around the 10th July or sooner. When you receive yours, PLEASE check them carefully to make sure I haven't made any mistakes. There's always somebody!

Entries are still open and can be ticketed from here for the next week or ten days. After that, John Hicks will ticket you - I have sent him a sheaf of them - entries, climb tickets, BBQ tickets, etc. So it is definitely NOT too late to enter if you have not already done so.

In other great news, the latest MMM entry received this week was from Simon Johnstone over in Belfast. Simon is a HUGE Pre-War Prescott enthusiast and supporter who has been absent for two years because of a very serious injury. He is now well enough to drive again and has booked four climbs.

Wonderful that Cadwell has such a super entry and we have another 46 MMM entries for Prescott! That's real strength in depth!

A couple of quick reminders. We have just 75 climbs left and I'm holding back 25 for the day (which will all go in the first ten minutes, if not at the Royal Oak at Gretton the night before). So just 50 left to pre-allocate. Get your entry in now if you are even remotely thinking of coming along!

Second, a reminder about the lunchtime auction. With so many MMM members entering their cars and many more spectating, the auction represents an excellent opportunity to clear some space in your workshop. This year, for the first time, Hereford Vintage Auctions is running a full-blown vintage auction in the lunch break with the net proceeds going to the sellers of the lots and HVA are generously donating 100% of their commissions to the RAF Charitable Trust. Please e-mail details of your goodies so that they can be listed on the website in advance of the day. Everything you need to know about the auction can be found at http://vintageminor.co.uk/Auction%20PWP%202017/Auction.htm

We should set up a live feed so we can see what each event is getting up too!
Have a great weekend at Prescott. Well done!

Thanks Mark, and let's do a collective sun dance and perhaps sacrifice an Austin 7 or two!

Pre-War Prescott 2017 is two weeks today!

The latest MMM count is 48 and counting.

First and foremost, entries are STILL OPEN. You can still enter online (at http://prewarprescott.com/?page_id=161). We have about 65 climbs left and ONE more slot for Sunday! If you absolutely cannot confirm before the day, you can simply turn up on the day and pay at the gate, whether you are entering a pre-war car or spectating. I hope to be able to hold back a handful of climb tickets which will be available at the gate on the day – ONE per entry. The gate opens at 9 a.m., the first safety briefing will be at 9-30 a.m. and the first climb will be at 10 a.m.

Regarding the Sunday Scenic Tour which many of you have entered, note that there has been no specific paperwork or tickets issued in advance. All you need to do is turn up in the Prescott Paddock between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. (at the latest) where you will receive your Tour Handbook which is all you will need for the day. Bring along OS maps 150 and 162 if you have them, but you shouldn’t need them – your Handbook will contain full and clear route instructions, but a map of some sort might be useful if you inadvertently stray from the route!

A few other quick reminders:

Everyone will be made very welcome at the Royal Oak at Gretton on Friday evening. If you have not been there before, it is a wonderful venue with great views to the Malverns, not to mention good food and local ales. There’s no better way to kick of the weekend if you are planning to arrive in the area on Friday.

Similarly, we will be running out to the Pheasant at Toddington on Sunday evening for a farewell gathering. Both pubs are expecting us.
Please don’t forget the lunchtime auction – being organized by Hereford Vintage Auctions. Lots are invited right now and will be immediately uploaded to the website for online viewing at http://vintageminor.co.uk/Auction%20PWP%202017/Auction.htm. Just send a photo, some brief details, and your reserve. Since we only have about 45 minutes for the auction, we are looking for quality items that will appeal to the owners of the main marques gathered or are of general interest. So far we just have a few lots, and we want many more please. The net takings will go to YOU, and the commissions are being donated by HVA to the RAF Charitable Trust.

If you have ANY questions about the day, do please e-mail me and I will do my utmost to sort you out in advance, so the day itself goes as smoothly and as enjoyably as possible.

Finally for now, the 14-day weather forecast is showing great weather for the weekend. Must have been those Sevens ...

Pre-War Prescott is a week today!

Record 160 entries, 421 climbs allocated as of this morning. It is NOT too late to enter. At this point, use the online entry form athttp://prewarprescott.com/?page_id=161 and you will be ticketed immediately. Anyone entering after Monday will have their tickets waiting for them at the gate.

You can turn up on the day and pay at the gate, but there will probably be very few climbs left by the day, so turn up early if you want to climb the hill. The gate opens at 9 sharp.

Spectators can also just turn up and pay at the gate. All welcome.

If you require BBQ tickets, these will be available at the VMR marquee on the day.

Sunday – we have ONE slot left!

Check out the full entry list at http://prewarprescott.com/?page_id=547

Looking super, Simon.

Final check-in before heading for the airport in the morning. Everything is just about set for the day, and the weekend. All we need for Prescott and Cadwell now is the weather, which is looking not too shabby right now.

Hopefully Colin!

All depends on the scheduling gods. PWP 2018 has already been set for us by the BOC to be on Saturday 21st July, and planning is well under way!

Just back in Seattle after post-Prescott travels and ploughing through a goodly stack of e-mails and wrap-up.

But I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to all the MMM owners who turned up. I don't have a formal head count yet, but it was certainly another tremendous turnout, and the short period of rain in the morning did nothing to dampen spirits. Sunday also went off very well with most of the field staying dry, and the conclusion at Stanway House was enhanced by the Dutch MG Workshop contingent lining up for a great photo op in front of the house.

Thanks again to everyone and the date for next year is Saturday 21st/Sunday 22nd. Hope to see you all there.
