Unless something as changed, and I don't believe it has, to gain access to the inner paddock, you need a paddock badge, not a GRRC members badge. You also neeed to be wearing the required look clothing.

Paddock badges are available to only GRRC members in pairs, free of charge with entry tickets, thus allowing a member to take a guest in to the inner paddock.

Hope the weather forecast brightens up, I'll be there from Thursday through to Monday and look forward to some great racing.

You can of course go in white overalls, there are usually plenty of those, including ladies. Competitors also get paddock passes. I have often worn a cravat so its what we use to wear back in the sixties. As my daughter says "you don't have to dress up Dad go as usually do!!"

Yes John, I also go in my everyday clothes I wear when going to Point to Points or winter racing- check shirt, tie, cords or moleskin trousers, sports jacket (ratcatcher) and trilby or flat cap.
Regular wear! but I'm from a different century !
p.s. however the thing to wear in the 60's was college scarf, duffel coat and woolly hat over scruffy trousers and often wellies !

Whatever you wear, Graham, make sure it's drip dry - the weather forecast is a bit iffy! Still planning to bring the PA down, regardless - it and its owners are reasonably waterproof!

Mark - it depends on what other attractions/diversions are happening at 11.30

One of them may well be the Settrington Cup in which Peter Green's granddaughter is competing on both Sat and Sun!

If any of our German friends are interested, Pooks book and memorabilia sellers have this little plate on sale at the store. One from 2003 and one from 2007. About £50 I think.

And here is today's 11.30 am rendezvous point shelter 272 adjacent to the GRRC members area and right by the fence of the airfield area .
