The description boasts a number of factual inaccuracies. |

I wonder if Tom Metcalf knows anything about the car - I believe his son works for the company?
Definitely do not like the exhaust.

I don't really like any of it.....LOL.....it seems to me to be a little bit...well you know....Americana and OTT but what do I know.....I'm not a fan of car confections myself.....you might be able to tell......you can see it through out the Classic car world and especially so within the Porsche market....once the Pro's and the like latch on suddenly there are a multitude of Resto'mods, Backdates, Evocations, Replicas call them what you will it appears no different even in the MMM world.....I guess it all depends on what you want |

I can't quite read the chassis number but PB0750's history fits, and it spent some time in Argentina, where PB0750 was when last reported. Exported from new...

I am confused by the blower drive.
It looks as though the top rotor is being driven; in which case it would be a sucker rather than a blower, so this cannot be the case.
It must have a belt drive down to the bottom rotor?
Anybody with better insight able to clarify? |

I have a record of a PB0730 that matches that description on the NAMMMR. However, I have no currently recorded owner.

$128500 or £97,000 to you sir.....LOL really?.......so what are you actually buying....is it not just a confection of an MG......a custom body possible a replacement engine? an unnamed supercharger.....as well Engineered and as Skillfully built as it is it not just a custom built MG ? £97,000 is way too much isn't it surely it would have been worth more as an original well restored PB with a supercharger than in its present guise?......what do you think |

How much of this PB is original? Maybe only the chassis. It's sad to think a totally original car like DML 429 could end up looking like this car, just another new special .

I absolutely agree with you John. Your F looks fantastic and from what you say, will remain so as long as you own her. An F2 is lovely, but variety is the spice of life so long live all F1s.
IMHO!

The F1 does give you space for luggage and camping equipment when going to Prescott. In the early eighties we even managed to include two small children plus camping gear when we used to go to MG live at Silverstone. We did have to travel with the hood up as the tent was fastened on to the hood support above the number plate, happy days , I never gave breakdown insurance a second thought then.
