It might seem a long way off, but the VMR is planning for the Centenaries of the Minor and M Type which are just over ten years away in 2028. We're planning to gather 100 Minors and 100 M Types. The venue and dates are unimportant at this point, but I hope that such early notice will encourage many whose cars are in pieces to set 2028 or earlier as an achievable restoration goal.
Perhaps the setting of a major goal like this out there might result in more of our cars being returned to the road in an era where our right to use our cars on the open road will very probably come under increasing pressure.
Question - is a gathering of 100 M Types a realistic goal to set? What does the team think?
