Hello,
I have one of these, patent Sept 18, 1917.
I believe I got hold of this in the 80s from a guy who used to race Bugattiís.
I assume this is very similar to a Ki Gas.
They were and still are an American Company I believe.
Has any one had any experience of these?

Thanks

Ashley

Yes, many years worth as an aircraft engineer . To the best of my knowledge never fitted to cars as standard. It is an aircraft primer for a small continental engine i.e. A65 - C90, fitted to Piper, Cessna and many other types. I have never seen one with the tap but it does look original. The standard ones I have seen should seal seal when locked. However it is a moderately frequent cause of poor running that the seal on the tip fails and lets additional fuel trickle in. The good news is that the 2 O rings cost about a £ to replace.

It will do exactly what a Kigas does and is a nice quality part if your not bothered about originality

Hello Ashley.

I have a very nice dashboard air pump made by this company, it is the one which pressurises the fuel tank.

Sorry I havenít worked out how to put a picture on here yet but I can send one by Email if required.

Cheers,

Chris
