24 years ago when I had just bought an MGB Roadster (which I still have I'm pleased to say) a very good MGB friend sent the card shown, on my 50th birthday. I stored the card away and completely forgot about it until having a clear out just recently. I'm not sure if it's MV771 or WV771. Is it on the Register?

Sam,I see behind the red car is one with regn.MG 700. Keep searching your archived files and perhaps you'll find MG 748 in one. I would love to know it's history between 1945 and 1970

The chap in the trilby looking at the map is Brian Collins, he drove a bullnose Morris on a regular basis. He had a motor museum in the 70s at Old Town, a village above Hebden Bridge , the photo will have been taken around there. He used to hire out vintage cars. The M Type is owned by Gerry Marsden, he’s had it since the 60s and it’s still in regular use. He exhibited it at the museum for some time.

I think the car behind might be MG 703 (2M/1910), now in the ownership of Ian Judd.

And just to confirm I'm a total anorak, the motorcycle, according to the DVLA, is a maroon OK, first registered June 1920.

The DVLA has updated their search page some time recently. You used to have to enter the registration number and the manufacturer, but now you only have to enter the registration number. This makes tracing vehicles much easier, and also finding out which modern has had that cherished number allocated to it.

I have been asked for the DVLA link. Here it is:

https://vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/

If you answer 'yes' to the first question, this takes you to a page will the vehicle's details.
