I'm in need of a rear number plate with only one ear for the tail light. The usual suppliers do not carry this anymore.

The bracket that clamps to the steering column that holds the horn button on a D.
I have the horn button part.
Arrangement can be made to pickup at MG day at Stoneleigh
Thanks
Gary

Gary, I have a buck on which I shaped a backing plate for my PA. You needn't use it to make two ears, only one.

I don't have a picture, but it is simply a piece of MDF or hardwood which is in the shape of the plate holder. The plate material was tapped around the edges of the buck and then heavy wire was laid in to the edge and the plate gently tapped around the wire to form a finished and slightly raised edge.

There is a steering column stalk currently on uk ebay (item number 162873324021) with what appears to be the original style horn button.

Similar but not the same methinks... My wires appear from under the stalk rather than through a hole and there is a raise square section that lets them out. A square channel then covers them as they run away along the steering column, held between the stalk and the column at this and and by a circlip (I think) at the lower end...

Cheers

Still looking for a used one ear rear number plate. I would prefer a original one. If not located will make one.

Thanks for any leads
