Although it might be a stretch to list this request as a part, but the part of my equation for a successful engine rebuild is missing. I am close to assembly on a PB with a new cylinder block (DARK) and the casting is absent of the trough on the inside to the side breather. Has anyone engineered a solution to make this breather operative or are owners driving/racing their PBs without the need for this breather? (Perhaps they are installing a breather somewhere else and leaving the side breather to look original?)
Many thanks in advance to those willing to offer a reply.

Chris, we are also close to assembly on a PB (DARK) block.

Check everything, our block had some holes in the wrong place and some holes not even drilled.

Will check the breather on our block.

Hello, Chris and Rob.

This subject has been discussed fairly recently (but canít find it ).

The concensus seemed to be that the PB engine would perform perfectly well using the offside breather only, without the need to machine the block where the second breather pipe is fitted on the nearside. Present PB owners may care to reiterate their comments.
