I recently was sent a couple of pictures of GX 430, and on an internet search found pictures of the car in what appeared to be car nearing the end of a restoration. These pictures may already be known of course.

As said, the pictures, and therefore history may already be known....

Peter.

Streamlining, only the Wolseley has them facing forwards. There are several pictures like that, see the 18/80 here.

The meeting incidentally was the Inter Club meeting on I think the 18th June 1932.

I reckon the headlamps were turned simply to avoid damage to the lenses.

Peter, a very nice picture! I tried and failed to find it on line - I was looking merely to ensure that there are no copyright issues that we might need to deal with by acknowledging crediting copyright ..... (have to be so careful these days!)

Could you pls let us know the source?

Thanks

Interesting shot John. At the risk of sidetracking, that reg started out life as a saloon according to OtoA. Coupled with the strange ramp on the running board and what looks like a repositioned exhaust all very odd. Is WC Barker actually Chris Barker?

Hi Kevin. We went int all the details on another thread that I can't find now, got info from Brooklands where the picture was taken etc. But No he was nothing to do with Chris Barker who I don't think that at the time had brought either of his Tigresses.
