I need a usable 8/14 (J type) speedo drive gear set to start the re-assembly of my rebuilt gearbox for the J3, as the originals are quite worn. Isn't it annoying that the 8 start drive gear will not quite come our once the 'box is assembled. Happy to purchase outright or swap for a reasonable 4/10 (P type) that I have. May be useful for those who are converting a J type box for their PA. Regards, David
Hi David, S&V do them new. The answer to fitting is to convert the rear housing to accept a modern oil seal, making the o/d large enough for the gear to pass before installation of the seal. Garry
