Onno. It is not a worn project, it is work in progress on a bare chassis, being carried out between lots of other work.Shown at Montlhery so others could enjoy it
It received much interest including praise from some knowegable MMM people.
Again I would refer you to the Register and Simons post above.

Even more intriguing.
How does it go from a fully functioning and perfectly prepared car to a restoration project in a few short years?

This was the same car in 2011

I am not going to get involved as to the basis of the car in the picture is. Below are some of the pictures I took of the original Q 0254 chassis before Tom Dark purchased it and the new chassis he made which used the original cross tubes and castings.

Any confusion might be explained by the time machine involved, as proven by the dates on the website involved

Sold in 2012 as complete functioning car.
So in 7 years time a fully functional and well prepared race car that I expect to be garaged and pampered (reasonable to assume given the value) goes to a project car?
As I said there must be a story there

Perhaps Colin's 2nd post on page 1 of this might shed some light.

I must point out that Steve Richardson has never said that his project is QA0254. I just quoted the reference made in the Triple M Register.

The latest issue of Classic & Sportscar contains a report by Mick Walsh on the Montlhery meeting and includes a photo of this MG described as a”tempting MG racer”.
