This is a picture of my Grandad leaning on his MG F1181 - registration plate only partially visible.
There are also two pictures of my Grandmother with a different MG with no identification.
Any information would be most grateful. There is a rumour that its registration was/is GY 2473. But this seems to have always been a red car and Grandad's was clearly black.
Thank you, Tammie

F1181 is indeed listed with the registration GY2473 and appears to be currently owned by Barrie Dean, an occasional contributor to this forum.
By searching on the members list for last name "Dean", you can find his record and send an email through the forum.

Barrie Dean sold this F1 a few years ago since then it has changed hands again and I believe it has gone abroad. |

Than maybe George, as F type sub Registrar, could contact Barrie and follow up on the chain of ownership. All Register materials still show Barrie as the current owner.

Tammy Lee:
The MG F is F1181 Registration GY 2473 some information in MMM Register on line and printed register 2016. The next place to go is , On line. F Type Magna Registry. F1181 is there lots of photos. The car is now red, which was a common change. Nice car in good condition.
Now the other car is harder, this might be one of the forum to address. The car has the look of Morris /early Mg. Try Early MG Society web site. See what you think. Hope this helps. John Bakewell |
