In past years, we have held an auction of donated spares and automobilia with the proceeds being donated to the RAF Charitable Trust. This year, Hereford Vintage Auctions will be holding a full-blown charity auction with the net proceeds going to the sellers and the commissions donated to the Trust. Lots will be posted online as they are received, so that everyone can view the lots in advance of the weekend. With so many MMM entries, this will be a good opportunity for MMM members to turn their spare goodies into hard cash and support a very good cause at the same time. Please e-mail details of your lots, with your reserve and photos if possible to vintageminor@gmail.com and I will add them to the auction web page at http://vintageminor.co.uk/Auction%20PWP%202017/Auction.htm.

Quick update as the big day approaches.

We have 29 MMM entries to date, with three more known to be intending. We just passed the 100 mark for total entries, so we're about half way to the expected 200. 251 climbs have been booked - a little over half of the approximately 475 maximum that we can squeeze in to the day.

Last year we had a fantastic 56 MMM entries, so we are also about half way to beating that record. But more importantly, I have to pay the full GBP 6,600 for the hire of Prescott by 23rd of THIS MONTH, so can I ask those of you who are planning to attend but have not yet entered to do so at your earliest convenience. Thanks!

Hello Ben,

I deliberately left you off - just to see if you were paying attention!

Ha! My mistake - so actually 33 and counting!

And of course Ted Hack and the other D Type chaps will be along shortly, I hear.

Just found Mike Davies-Colley's Youtube video of his three climbs at last year's Pre-War Prescott in his '34 PA. Makes entertaining viewing. Thanks Mike!

The first items for the Pre-War Prescott auction are coming in. This will take place in the lunch break in the Paddock at the VMR marquee. The auction is being held by Hereford Vintage Auctions, and this year, for the first time, this will be a conventional auction, with the net proceeds going to the sellers and the commissions going to the RAF Charitable Trust.

If you have any MG or other goodies you would like to include in the auction, please e-mail details to vintageminor@gmail.com and a photo if possible so that your lots can be added to the website in advance of the day.

Here's the link: http://vintageminor.co.uk/Auction%20PWP%202017/Auction.htm

Help needed. Does anyone have a spare set of new J2 rods they don't need to use immediately? We have an entrant in desperate need, who has just been told they are on 5 week back-order.

Apparently that won't work. Said owner is under contract to his engine builder. But in better news this morning, Stefan Weinbach has just entered his J4, coming from Germany with Christian Hoeptner.

After the J2 cancellation, this brings the MMM entry to 45 so far, including 8 coming from overseas, making this a truly international MMM gathering.

Surprised and saddened to read in the LCES magazine this morning that Peter Street has died. Peter joined the Vintage Minor Register in January and entered his Australian GP J2 and 30/98. He has entered every Pre-War Prescott since its inception in 2011 when he entered the late Bev Hicks' Morris Special. He has also helped us marshal at Prescott every year.

Guys

Unfortunately the PB Hillclimb project will not be finished for me to bring it to Pre-War Prescott this year, it will be there next year!!.

However, can we come as spectators? and if so do we need to get tickets in advance and from where?

Thanks in advance.

Regards

Tim

Tim,

Your spectator entry received overnight and processed.

As a reminder to others, you can enter online in whatever capacity you wish at http://prewarprescott.com/?page_id=161. Pre-war entries each receive a free climb, and you can pre-book up to three more. You can also book your Saturday evening BBQ tickets on that page, as well as enter the Sunday Navigation Rally or Scenic Tour. (Sunday's details can be found at http://prewarprescott.com/?page_id=23.

You can also simply turn up on the day and pay at the gate, but by that time climb tickets will be thin on the ground to non-existent!

See you soon!
