Although the remote above is fitted to a Sanction 78 Wolseley Hornet Special many other Wolseley remotes have found their way onto M.G.'s. This example is unusual and has possibly been very cleverly modified with a special cast end.
It is possible it started out like the third example in the composite picture below.
Is the unusual remote unique or has anyone seen a similar example? If the remote has been modified why would anyone go to so much trouble? Does it offer any special advantage?
The first example works as the ENV with the fulcrum above the shaft. The J (wolseley box) is the other way round. Setting it up like an ENV might work but you will change the positions of the gears...
Thanks also to Peter. I see what you mean about the ENV fulchrum. Whoever did the very neat modification on the Wolseley remote was probably inspired by an ENV gearbox.
