Purchased a lot to get a vintage speedo for PA1024.

These bits came with.
Please assist to I D them.
The smooth handles are much smaller that the MG crested one.

Best,

Crested handles are for PA to TC. Smooth handles are probably J2. The MG crested covers are for the clutch housing inspection hole.

The smooth handles are as fitted to the J2 and L2 and I think the L1.

Thank you Gent's,

The large crested handle is about six inches in length. Much longer than those on PA 1024.
It seem's too large for our cars?

Kindly.

Then it could be from one of the larger models - S, V, or W.

From memory I think the larger door handles were also used for the N types. NA0960 was a very late NB and I think the door handles were larger than those fitted to the P Types.

The large handle is 5" not 6" as previously stated.
Additional pictures. The ends of the escutcheon's are uplifted as the body panel must have been a depression it fit into?

The N type definitely has longer door handles than the P or later T types. I discovered this when trying to source a new one for my NB. The one in the photo could therefore be for an N type.

Can those with original door handles fitted to both N and P types please measure the overall length of the handle section to clarify which is which.

Here are Pictures requested by Terry.

These show the size in relation to a original PA door handle from PA 1024.
The bonnet handles are even smaller than the door handles however of the same lines.

P-type door handle 3.25"
Door handle in question 5"

Kindly,

Brian your P type ones are correct. The ones I have here marked N type are 3 7/8 inch overall handle length. Perhaps an N type owner with original door handles can confirm their length.

As an interesting side note;

These bits were collected near Laguna Seca Raceway in California. The previous owner a known collector had a lifetime interest in cars and were from his high level estate.

Help with all very appreciated as the parts will find their home on cars being restored within the club.

18/80's have plain handles, with no M.G. motif. I haven't still got mine so I can't compare with the two plain ones.
