Is anyone able to say with certainty which cars used the Rotax 706 rear lamp?

If am now producing LED light board inserts for the Rotax 706 tail lamp. These are specifically designed for the 706, with red and orange LEDs. More information may be found at www.brittrix.com

Lew, as stated on the Brittax site, the D-type did have a singular Rotax K706 lamp at the rear. It is now preferable to fit a pair, and for me especially on the salonettes.
Lew, is there any chance we could see what and how the LED fits into the K706? To me it's important the originality of the internals are not disturbed/remove permanently so understanding how and what fits in is important!

The board is mounted on 3 nylon standoffs and sits just below the top of the main body. Extended below the board is a small piece which holds the license plate lights. I don't own a 706 case, so I can't show you how it fits (The lamp belongs to a D-type owner friend). The bulb holder obviously needs to be removed to make room, but otherwise no modifications are necessary and are totally reversible.

What do we now as fact about Rotax 706? Graces Guide is a good start giving the history of Lucas and Rotax, Rotax taken over in 1926 and put into voluntary liquidation in 1937.So what happened In the last 7 years? Has any one got a Rotax Lighting catalogue? I have 1939 Lucas copy but by 1939 Rotax lights have all gone except a listing for Singer in 1933 14hp Tail lamp K706 by 1934/7 the ST38 (Pork Pie) was used. From A-W Manufactures Tail Lights were a mixture of LucasT101,TF201 ST38A (Pork Pie) ST50 (D Shape).40AB and 312 more expensive models also feature. The Part Catalogues list D Type A253 Tail Lamp TF201. J Type A253 TailLamp TF201.F Type A261 Stop Lamp. L type A405 TailLamp. No listing of Model for F or L what were they? |

Peter, What is "Graces Guide"? I have the Harold Nockolds books "Lucas, The First 100 Years", but am unaware of the Graces Guide.

Dear Lew and Forum:
Follow link below. Graces guide is very useful in tracking down a company and it's history. All the best.

Great source of information that Graces Guide. But as a side note, there is virtually nothing on Henry William (H.W.) Allingham, noted designer of the MG Airline Coupe and Allingham Coupe. A few references to his father, an employee of the railroad, but nothing on poor H.W.
