Just fifty days to go, and 28 MMM entries already processed. Climbs are also going fast - 350 of the possible 475 climbs have been allocated. We also already have 42 entries for the Sunday Navigation Rally and parallel Scenic Tour, upon which most of the midnight oil is being burned at present. All I can tell you about that is that the lunchtime pub stop is arranged at a VERY quirky, timeless and secret location in the darkest depths of Gloucestershire and is not to be missed!
If you are planning to enter either Pre-War Prescott on Saturday 21st July, or the whole weekend, you can enter at http://prewarprescott.com/?page_id=161.
My ticket is booked from Seattle, and I can't wait for my first pint of real ale since last July! See you at the Shutters, Gotherington on Friday evening?
Full details of the Pre-War Prescott can be found at at http://prewarprescott.com/, and the full weekend's activities, including the Friday and Sunday pub gatherings can be found at http://vintageminor.co.uk/Summerrally2018/Summer_Rally_2018.html. |

Pre-War Prescott climbs are running out.
As of today, with six weeks to go to the day, we have allocated 375 climbs for Pre-War Prescott 2018, which means we have just 100 left out of the best-scenario 475 climbs that might be available - assuming no red flags and a steady flow at the start line. As each pre-booked entry receives a free climb, and about 60 or 70 more entries are expected, we are in danger of running out of climbs some time before the day. In order to mitigate this, I will soon have to reduce the limit of the number of climbs that can be pre-booked, from three to two or even one. So if you have not yet entered and wish to book the current limit of three climbs, plus a free one, may I suggest you enter without delay. If you post your entry to John Hicks (as opposed to entering online), do e-mail me at vintageminor-at-gmail.com with your entry details if you want to beat the climb reduction which will almost certainly take effect by next Friday.

Today is your last chance to book three climbs plus a free one. 397 climbs have now been booked, and I have to cut the max bookable climbs to two plus a free one when we hit 400, so today is the day - any entry received by midnight Seattle time today will be able to book three plus a free one.
Latest entries are Mike Stevenson with his 1934 PA and Mike Dowley with his 1935 PB special ARY 614. |

Here's the MMM entry as of this morning - 35 and counting. I know of one well-known forumist from across the water who is working like crazy to have his car repaired in time.

Just a quick note that Ollie Richardson is also burning the midnight oil in his workshop - crafting a masterpiece in metal and wood for Prescott, but its not an MG.
Its a unique MMM trophy to be awarded annually at PWP. Details are being finalized, but it will be awarded by a self-judging process involving all the MMM entrants on the day. Watch this space for further details of this prestigious new MMM award! |

Quick update - tickets being prepared for posting tomorrow, BUT late entries still very welcome - it's just simpler this end to include tickets in the bulk posting. So enter today if you can, or at least e-mail me to let me know you intend. Thanks! |

Just a quick update with twelve days to go. Everyone who has entered so far should now have their tickets. We have about 18 climb tickets left, so there IS time to enter if you have not already done so. You can be ticketed right up to the day, and you can also simply turn up on the day and pay at the gate, but I'm sure all climbs will be gone by then.
Did you see that the world class hillclimber Joy Rainey will be opening the hill in her stunning 2018 McLaren F570S (she held the ladies record at Shelseley for an incredible 22 years!). Yours truly will be in the passenger seat - if I can summon the courage! We will be auctioning another run with Joy in this car in aid of the RAF Charitable Trust at the lunchtime auction.

Thanks Dick! I rarely have time on the day to actually climb the hill in anything, although I het plenty of offers, but as this is our tenth year, I thought I'd make a bit of an effort!
If Ollie has completed the MMM trophy he has been working on, one MMM entrant will be going home with some extra ballast.
Enjoy Cadwell, and fingers crossed for all of us for fine weather. |

This just in from Ollie Richardson. He has completed the PWP MMM annual trophy. I'll try to attach a couple of images, as well as the MMM entry so far, one of whom will be going home with the trophy.
Could I ask one of you to help me on the day with anchoring the judging. I will prepare some voting sheets for owners to self-judge each other's cars. I just need someone to distribute them, collect them and tally the results. He doesn't know it yet, but I am going to ask Frank Ashley to present the award in the afternoon.
Here's the entry so far (and entries are still open), followed, hopefully by the pics.
