yes indeed it was you ! On the left kink out of Maggots onto the National circuit had to take a tight line and one of those sticking up circuit limits marker posts went between my Mechanics side wheel and the chassis and severed the brake cable...... only found out about it when braking for the sharp right back onto the GP circuit...... but was not our unusual lines through the corner a result of a spinning PG at Maggots? Patrick was a Silverstone "specialist" and knew lots of unusual lines...... during practice for one of the 1 hour races his K-type stopped working somewhere down near Stowe and he ended up pushed behind the marshals post..... got it running again but was not allowed to rejoin the track. By using the exit gate out onto the Dadford road ,back in through the main entrance (must have blagged his was past the ticket men !) through the inner circuit, paddock and pit lane back onto the track.......what the marshals at Stowe thought is not recorded.... had a rubbish practice time!
