Thank you for your helpful comments Gerhard. I have just measured my headlamps.the diameter of front edge of the projector is 8.5”, the glassdiameter is 8.5” and the outside diameter of the rim is 9.5”.
This suggests the rims are LR 292 as per the Lucas catalogue.

Malcolm,
to avoid further misuse of this K2008 topic by talking about our ND headlights, I will send you a e-mail directly.

Hi Malcolm. and Gerard. The K2 thread was really just thanking Barry and Oliver. The interesting part was the discussion about N, K and 18/80 headlights. Have a great day. ! Rod.

I concur with Gerhard that the lamps seem to be R160S. These are the same ones as fitted to the Mark 1 18/80.
The Mark 2 18/80 has the rear mounted ones which are Rotax K603

And also note the different cars. Whilst I don't have a MMM car I do have an OHC MG of the right period so can add a different perspective. What I find myself taking away from the forum is the commonality despite the differences. I'm pleased to say that I'm not discriminated against because of my 18/80!

FWIW, here's an old photo of Mike Waggot's K2019 headlamps.
