What a lovely clear photo, thanks for sharing it with us.
The car on the right is I think the C type sprint special - C0277 - with R engine and twin rear tyres, the first on the left is the I think the single seat Q type and the car next to it is a K3? The furthest car on the left is an R type but no idea what the other car is?

Yep, Donald Letts (of diary fame) was the first owner of the Sprint car (C0277) and later owned and raced K3023/EX 135. All his cars were prepared by Bellevue.

D.G. Evans name above the car on the right, C-Type?
I think Wilkie was just there to make sure the lads didn't go for lunch before noon.
There's an interesting portable hoist being operated by the fellow at the back.

The hoist has me intrigued- what is it doing? It looks to be lifting a car, you can make out the rear wheel, steering wheel and a high level brooklands exhaust fishtail, but it looks to be too narrow, almost like a cardboard cutout |

I've played with the photo. You can get a better understanding of the hoist. Hoisted from the top of the swan neck by chain (?)to the chassis.
I presume the attached base on wheels is stabilizing the unit, not a lifting option.
The car looks like a C-Type to me.

Brian, I would say that the car about to be jacked up at the rear has a slab tank and with the large fishtail is likely to be a K3.

I agree that the rear end of the car looks like a K3, but it appears to have two humps on the scuttle. Is it a slab tanked C type?

Alan and Peter,
As Peter suggests as an option, I think C-Type.
I know that Ron Grant had a good photo of a slab tank C-Type that he showed me. A good time to remember Ron.!
