What Colvin use to call the sprint car, because it would be fine and then had a "hump" when it got to an event-)) |

The Hump must be the ex Evans C type sprint car restored so ably by Ollie!
When that car went well it was awesome, I recall Colvin thundering up Shelsley Walsh hillclimb in fine style. He used to look after the car when owned by Mike Edmundson.
The photo will most probably be taken at Prescott?

They used to run it up at Stradishall airfield before race meetings. |

The two gentlemen with Colvin are , l think , Mike Edmondson (kneeling) & Tony Hurst who used to run the car pre-war or soon after the war . I met them both at Silverstone one year before the C type was repainted & Wilkie was looking after it for them ; complaining bitterly that they had not done something that he had asked them to do !. |

The B&W photo that I posted is one of mine that I took at Oulton Park. I don't know for sure which year in the early seventies.
What are the chassis numbers of both cars?
Thanks for your replies and interest.
Brian.

Colvin was a great friend and top guy who I have really missed since he left us all far too early. Keith |
