I ve just seen an entry list, great to see Harry Painter will be campaigning the Kayne Special in the Boslter Cup! Well deserved. Some pretty hairy stuff in this specials race.

Anyone know what the 1951 Pierce MG is? Up against the 250F's etc?

I will be a GWD on the Sunday, so will suggest a meeting time by the Kayne Special in the Paddock once the timings are confirmed.

All the best

Mark

Ah Ok, I guess a F2 spec car...tough gig with Dino's, 250F's, BRM GP Cars in the Hawthorn trophy!

Is it the car from SA?

The Pierce MG.

I owned this MG Special.

It was built by Harry Pierce in 1959. (. Note : 1959 ).

It was one of the last of the SA single seater MG specials. I found it in a back yard and rebuilt it as was built and raced by Harry Pierce. It never used Weber carbs in period. I also note that the body has been altered slightly from my time. It used engine sizes of 1250, 1350 and 1466 cc engines to try and fool the handicapper.

Regards.
Rod.

Hi Rodney thanks for Info...

I just googled it, Interesting to see its stated as 1951 with a bunch of history up to 59.

Mark it is dry, sunny and 8 degrees in Chichester this morning so keep your fingers crossed the weather holds. We have a micro climate here and the forecasts are regularly wrong for the immediate area so you might be OK.
I am not going but hope you guys have fun.
