I'm fiddling around trying to resuscitate an old distributor and need to reduce the advance from the 19 degrees that it currently has to, say, 10 degrees (distributor degrees, not crank). Would anyone have a decent 10 degree shaft for a counter clockwise DK4A or DKH4A? I know I can weld up the stop holes (or rather, get someone with the appropriate skills to weld them up!) but it would be much easier to find a replacement of the right type.
Simon J J3437 P.S. Further investigation would suggest that a shaft from a counter clockwise DKY4A is the same which widens the field somewhat. |

Simon - have you asked The Distributor Doctor? I've never had occasion to use him, but many people have said good things about him. He may want to rebuild your distributor fo you, of course...

Simon,
I have a complete DKYH4A distributor which I could send for a nominal sum.

Thanks, chaps.
John, I've dropped you a line about the DKYH4A.
