Ted Hack (of the outstanding MG-D Group http://mgdgroup.org) would like to share this very charming picture.

Has anyone any information about the picture?

I was not sure if it was a J2 or not and was confused by the cycle guards. I have sent a request to Nick asking him to correct my error.

I would say definitely a PB.

Strange way to fit the sidelights!

Did late PA's not have that type of rear bonnet rest? Also, I thought PB's had slatted rad grilles?

I think, Doreen Evans standing and Dorothy Stanley - Turner kneeling next to her ‘P’ type JB 7963.
I do not know the venue.

It appears to be a PB No 633. Now owned by Urs Lange.

Cheers,

Chris.

It isn't Doreen Evans , but I agree it's JB7963. If you look at the topic on this car in the general section (23/1/18) you can see it has the odd sidelight position , the black painted screen frame, plinth mounted aeroscreen and number 1 on the rad . So must be Crystal Palace. I'm not clever enough to put that picture on this topic , perhaps Nick can do it? Oliver

Dear Sam ans Forum:

We have the place and the car.
The two lady's are still not named.
Any clues?
Have looked up both Doreen Evans and Dorothy Stanley-Turner.
Both very interesting careers .
Background information on the photograph might help.
All the best.

This was Dorothy Stanley-Turner's Le Mans car and in the first photo the young lady kneeling looks very much like this photo of her:
