Looking for a wooden Shelley type jack handle. I am aware they come-up on eEay and other like sites. Not a big fan of the whole bid/auction song and dance. Post or collect from Silverstone? Thank-you.
Original is not important. To have one made in darkest Wales is easy too. Neighbor is a wood-turner. The sticking point is a pattern. So line of least resistance is to buy. Thank-you .
Someone at Beaulieu was selling them and had (literally) bucket-loads; check the Austin 7 Sites - I'm sure he had Austin connections and was based in Wiltshire.

That sounds like Willie McIntosh of Austin Repro. He is based at Holton Heath in Dorset and regularly has a stall at Beaulieu. He makes a very fine range of parts for Austins and many things suitable for MMM MGs such as stone guards, headlamps etc. I reckon that wooden Shelley jack handles are right up his street.
No it certainly wasn't Willy (McKenzie) at Austin repro - I have plenty of dealings there. This fellow was near Swindon. Possibly Chippenham or Malmsbury. I've been trying to find his card and details but no luck yet

For those looking for a complete Shelley handle ( hard to find the hook type) check out Ebay. It is for an M8 jack which may not be MMM, but the handle seems correct for prewar Shelleys, and with an original case! item 202307393254. I have no connection to the sale. If someone here wins it let me know, Just curious.
