Does any one out there have a 6 volt dynamo in good working order that I could purchase please? I am looking for one with good bearings top and bottom.

I have an M-type dynamo. Doubt it is in working order but may be useful to you. I am in South Africa. Let me know if I can help.

The type of dynamo I am looking for is a Lucas DEL 24 rather than the DDS type which has a fatter body.

The DEL type is smaller in diameter and would fit on my M type without having to grind anything away!

Herewith some images. Note the base has a piece cut out of one of the lugs! It appears to be the DEL type you are looking for judging by the numbers stamped on the body in one pic.

The dynamo you have looks interesting and in reasonable condition. Will it work without needing a rebuild?

How much do you want for it including postage?

It would need to be overhauled, I would think. Has been lying around since 1962!
