I am looking for 2 BSF 5/16" for the dumb irons, and 2 3/8" for my original drive shaft, the thread appears not to be BSF. Looks finer and BSF won't screw in enough. Prefer period nipples if avail?
Grease nipple threads in Hardy Spicer drive shafts are what we know as Unified as the ancestry of them is American. Unified threaded grease nipples are available in UK, google will find them.
On the subject of nipples for the UJs, the long straight one on my rear joint is not really long enough and I have difficulty getting the gun to lock onto it. The longest one I can find, from memory, is 29mm and I wonder if anyone knows of a longer one? Thank you in advance.
