The nearest entry for K3024 in The Hawke History of MMM cars is dated 6th August 1950 where Count de Wurstemberger came 5th at ADAC Grosser Bergpreis Freiburg-Schauinsland (D)
Strangely the Registration number is not recorded in the book?
I'm certain this isn't Schauinsland 1950. I'm a member of a private forum which has many pictures of that event, and not one shows oil drums alongside the course.
The entry list for 1950 includes 'Hervé' in another MG, but with race number 61 and there are two photos of it with reg number GE26034.
August 7th 1950 was a Monday, of course.
I'll post the picture in that forum - which has lots of German (and Swiss!) experts - and get back to you.
ETA: 'Hervé' was the nom de course of de Wurstemberger, who hailed from Geneva.
I am very reliably informed that this picture was taken at the Vue des Alpes hillclimb on June 11th 1950. 'Hervé' came 3rd in the 1100cc experts sport car class, so August 7th must be the date he signed the photo.
