My pre-war tool-roll prototype is due this week.
The next part on the list, finally, is the SF24 trafficator arm.
Please feel free to ask me for info on how to make these parts yourself if preferred. If enough interest I add the making process to my 'follow design projects' tab on my website, to promote and preserve these crafts and how to make the parts. The making of the SF24 trafficator parts is being fully documented, boxes and escutcheons up already.

Are you able to supply the lens with lens holder as a separate item please?

Yes, lens available separately. There is about 1/2 the work to make the lens, albeit so small. About 3 hours work. The lens glass is built up on a glass marble with tinted epoxy resin, cotton thread reinforcing, ground and polished. The lens holder is made from a brass tube for the body on a dowel, and a micro-machined insert front piece. Electrodes inserted to chrome plate. One commissioned already. Price lens only GBP 75 + P&P at cost |

Hi Donald, how do you make the wings on the WL4 bulb holder?

To add the wings, drill 3 small holes each side on the lip, and epoxy in 3 brass pins of the correct length. These are rested on moulding putty to hold in place until cured. Make a pattern off an original for the wings in moulding putty. Position the WL-4 in the mould, seal edges. Pour in black tinted epoxy resin. Remove mould when cured. Trim and file to shape. There is a 1mm lip on the top, this inserts in to the holder. In the photo below, the orginal is on the right, and the wings added on the left. The brass pins are just visible on one of the wings. The wingless WL-4s are a bit easier to find, as they were also used on Jaguar XK-120s
