I came across these photos on a Facebook group. The first shows a Gloucestershire registered J2 with a missing headlamp guard. The second is of a garage in Dursley with the driver of the J2 standing to the right. Presumably he worked at or owned the garage.

J2483, alas not heard of since supplied to an E.H Melvin of Winchcombe in November of 1932.
Getty have a lovely picture of it on the Brighton to Beer trial of 1934, but that's it.

There is a Dursley Garage still listed which might fit the second photo.

Now how about getting some MG triple-m overalls made like that?

It's J2483, supplied to Whitaker's Garage, Broadway, Worcestershire on 04/11/32 via Imperial Motor Mart, Cheltenham. Lots of trials history in 1934 & 1935 when driven by W.S.Whittard.

John,
This was mentioned on another thread and I did, finally, get hold of some brown overalls. Harder to find than you might imagine. I haven’t yet got round to getting the M.G. badge as sported by Henry Stone in a picture on that thread - getting the J2 back on the road is rather taking priority.

On Ebay at the moment. Not me selling and I won't be bidding so feel free if you want to buy it. The blur is not on the actual item. It does add another name and reference to the story
