Can anyone help to find the whereabouts of my 1936 MGPA.
I owned the car in 1960 to about 1965, I purchased the car in Biggin Hill, I worked on the car for 6 months to get it on the road. I lived at St. Albans at the time.
The MGPA was registered 01-07-1936 registration No AUO578. The car is a red 4 seater with a 847cc Engine. Engine number 1544AP. Vin No PA1314.
The DVLA's records do not go back that far. From a HPI check the start date of current keeper is1-02-2015.
If anyone has any information I would be most grateful, I would like to contact the owner as I have information and history they might like.
Regards Alan

Hello Alan - welcome to the Forum and thanks very much for your enquiry. Here is what we know:
Built 17-7-1934 as a 4-seater tourer
Released 26-9-34
Held in stock by Mumfords of Plymouth until sold to the first owner Mrs B A Winzer of Loddiswell, Cornwall in 1st July 1935
Originally black with red trim
Original engine number 1544AP

I would be happy to put you in touch with the present owner and also ensure that he and the Register can share in the knowledge you gained during your ownership. I will ping you a PM by direct e-mail so that we can follow things up. That would be another brick in the Register's wall of history!
