I am very keen to get my J2 back on the road as quickly as possible and I am working hard to achieve that.

I am about to start on the engine and I am therefore open to suggestions/recommendations regarding a suitable supplier of crank + rods that does not already have a full order book.

Of course, if anyone has these components surplus to their requirements (e.g. plans have changed, etc) I would be delighted to hear from them!

Anyone recognise this design of crank? I have no idea of its origins or suitability for a J2.

Sports and Vintage can supply a fully counterbalanced crank and rods. I have fitted one in my M type. The one above is not counterbalanced

There are a load of crankshafts on a table at the moment at Phoenix, I think all allocated to Peter Green. Have you tried Peter?
