A Mr David Connor has been in touch with me regarding his late father's J2.
Unfortunately, no chassis number or registration mark.
The only possibility is if somebody is lucky enough to still have an original log book with Mr Connor's name in it.
Here's what he said:
"Dad would have lived at:
Belgrave Road
Hornchurch.
Essex
His full name was:
Thomas Henry Connor.
The photo would have been taken approx 1948/1949.
My uncle, who is still alive cannot remember the registration number but, he told me Dad bought the car from an ex WW2 fighter pilot, just after the war.
It was stored in a shed during the war, & was in a bad state when he bought it, Dad did all the work himself.
Unfortunately that's all the information I can give you.
It would be so nice if it could be traced.
