Hello, Chris.

You can use a solid direct drive quite satisfactorily if you so wish. Peter Gregory used to do them perhaps Andy King or others supply a kit nowadays.

I have never had a problem with my direct drive, perhaps others can comment ?

Hi Chris,
Indeed, Chris has well advised that there is no deleterious effect in abandoning the original jury rig design. In addition, the direct drive permits accurate balancing with the crank and flywheel.

I've already got the two part coupling from TD so really need to find an affordable Cush drive.
