...the one that got away ! From the internet I came across the sale particulars of the WW2 Medal Group of Major Geoffrey Bryan Gush who was the brother of Marjorie Emily May Gush who died alongside Dudley Howard Cottingham in J4129. Attached the sale prospectus

the auction date was 8th February 2018 at Marlow's Military Auctioneers, Lot 178. Can't win them all !!

I have discovered from the auctioneers that the medal group and family photos sold for £40 + 20% commission..a steal.

Whenever War Service Medals are put up for auction in Australia, they are often donated to the Australian War Memorial post auction. You might enquire if these medals are now with the Imperial War Museum and if they recorded the name of the donor - this might lead you to the whereabouts of the photos you seek. Follow the crumbs, you might find a cookie or a cake.
