On the cover of The Light Car from January 12, 1934, is an MG with registration number MG1444. Did the car survive? Is it an F or an L?

F0259 - not known to have survived.

It is an early F1 with a special Carlton Coupe (?) body...

There is one survivor, in Germany I think and being rebuilt.

This is F/0259 one of the few University Motors dhc by Carlton. This one only seen as MG Works publicity photo. No present owner known.
The University Motors Carlton F/0257 is still owned in the Neherlands and waiting for total restauration.
