| This J2 Midget, J2219, has recently had a 'recommission' to bring it back to life after a 54 year slumber. The body is a rare Mulliner example of which it is thought there may only be 12 remaining of the 50 that MG ordered in 1932. The car comes with a file of history from its very first owner. Currently fitted with a Ford engine, it retains the MG gearbox. Possibly at the same time as the engine conversion the brakes were 'uprated' to Morris eight hydraulic brakes which have had a complete overhaul.
This car is fully driveable but of course with a car of this age there is always room for improvement. Available by separate negotiation is an original engine, most of which is there, (some parts missing) which is in need of a rebuild. Price 22,500 GBP |
