| This car was imported into Canada in 1966 by my father and has been worked on and off throughout the years. The car is looking for a good home where the restoration can be completed. The car retains its original British Registration Book showing its ownership history and registration number BV 121. It is listed on the Triple M Register of the MG Car Club in the UK as number 564 and has had two previous owners shown there. Chassis Number 2/M1684; Engine Number MG1408A; Colour; Blue. The original data plate remains and the correct frame serial stamping is present on the front of the right frame rail.
The numbers matching original engine is reportedly rebuilt and installed but it is not yet in running condition. However it does turn over with the original hand crank.
The wood framed “Double Twelve” style body is nearing completion with new blue vinyl fabric installed in place of the original Rexine fabric. The hood, detachable rocker panels and the front valance are painted blue and ready to use. The four fenders, interior and doors still require restoration. Many additional parts are included with the car but unfortunately the original gauge bezel and the speedometer are no longer present. Price 11,000 GBP (or near offer) |
