Rare opportunity, and possibly the last opportunity, to rebuild and own a 1931 MG Magna F1 Four Seater Tourer. Believed to be three owners from new. Previous owner 1942-1964. Present owner since 1964. Currently dismantled, and awaiting total rebuild. Chassis number F0601, Body number 7080 15132, Engine number 854AF, Registration number MG1457. Principal components: Chassis; Body by Carbodies; Two engines (1 original, 1 believed to be a Wolseley Hornet); Radiator; SU carburettors; ENV gearbox; Front and rear axles; Differential; Two bonnets (I original, I replica); Four wings (1 original, 4 replicas); Two windscreens; Two petrol tanks; Dashboard (replica); Firewall; Four doors; Six original wire wheels (and spare wheel carrier for two wheels); Three seats (original); Adament steering box and column; Original four-spoke steering wheel. There are two original Instruction Handbooks, one of which was almost certainly supplied with the car in 1932, two axle stands, and some tools. It is my earnest wish to sell the car through the Triple-M Register, to an MG enthusiast who will restore it and return it to the road and the world of MG. There is a brief history of MG1457 on pages 9 and 10 of the May-June 2025 edition of the Triple-M Register Bulletin. INSPECTION WELCOME: London SE24. Please email me with expressions of interest, please include your contact details.
