An MG Owners Club member is seeking info on this car in which his parents did their courting. She is now 91.

Unfortunately he knows nothing more other than the fact that it is on the DVLA site as untaxed. Is it known to the Register?

JK 2420 is shown as the original Registration number for an M type, chassis number 2M3179.

There are a couple of old photos on the file and the owner is shown as Ian Coxon who I believe still lives in the South West?

Perhaps our M type expert and Registrar Mike Dalby may have some information.

Yes it was indeed owned by Ian Coxen, but he sold it in 1974 when he was in Bristol, but it has not been heard of since!
Maybe asleep somewhere, as still on the DVLA website as a 1932 MG, and not a modern!

Many thanks George and Mike. In that case I guess we'll just have to hope that the owner finds out about this request by another means. I imagine the old lady would love to see the car again.
