Great picture, Robin.

Gosh, that brings back some memories ! ( Rocker box looks to be in a precarious position ! )

Many thanks,

This is another photo of "Those were the days" from about 1960.
I shows K3013 repaired by 3 "expert gentlemen" in good spirits, and a trustfully dog !

To crack a nut?

The AA membership might have been a comfort.

Hello Robin,

The AVU 802 reg is nor recognised by 'our system'. Don't suppose you can remember the chassis number ....?

Obviously taking a great deal of care with the paint job!

The last time I saw the chassis was in about spring 1968 ( or possibly 1967 ) when I put the rather bent object on the roof of a garage I was using whilst trying to get my current PB on the road. Had I known then what I know now I would have saved the dumb iron....... and indeed the semaphore indicators .... and lots more !

The paint job did leave a lot to be desired but was at least not very expensive.

I hope to find some more period pics !

Not such an interesting photo, but here is PB0399 in 1965, just after I bought her. I can't remember why the chassis is not shown, because I did have it. I bought it in bits, and realised a year later that it was beyond me, and sold it on in bits, can't remember to whom. Perhaps the current owner would be interested.

Yes, it was a 4 seater. I naively thought I would convert it to a 2 seater, but had no idea how to do that. Ah, the misplaced optimism of youth. It was another 34 years before I returned to the fold.

AH YOUTH .... My PB was in Fife for a year in 1969 ...... my wife and I were married in Dunino not so far from Crail. My mother was born in Dairsie and I had many holidays near to Leuchars with my Grandparents.....when the mill was working in Guardbridge

Best wishes

The mill at Guardbridge is now a gin distillery, among other things , and the Peat Inn is still one of the best (and most expensive) places to dine.

Sorry to go off topic.
