Watched "Death on the Nile" (the 1978 version) last night on the BBC iplayer and spotted FS3604 - J4205 - making a special guest appearance about 7 minutes in (it's only there for a couple of scenes so you don't have to sit through the whole thing).
In the film it's painted a rather nice shade of grey but I see from the Register that it's now red.
When J4205 got the job to be used in the film there was one problem:
It was red - same as Mia Farrows hair. And Mia Farrows red hair didnīt correspondent with a red car. In the opinion of the film producers this was a no-go. The solution was to repaint J4205 for the film in the grey shade we see BUT the paint was water-colour based - it was easily washed off...-;)
J4205 lived many years in Berlin and was actively used.
