Just search 'paint codes' using the search feature of this forum, but always remembering to select 'archived posts' and you will be avalanched with information!

The usual blues are cited as:

Peugeoy Bleu Rhapsodie (light 'Cambridge' Blue)
Saab Midnight Blue (dark 'Oxford Blue')
but beware, these come in many variants, so try to match to a colour chip or any of the paint (if any) on your car.

Very often one sees light blues that are really too light, and ditto with the dark blue!

From this website's 'Home' folder, go to 'Technical Downloads', 'Body' then 'Paint Colours' and download the paint colours chart.

All, please note that this labeled 'Draft', thus inviting any updates or corrections.

Derek I doubt if you will ever find a standard colour that is a good match for your existing older paint. I suggest that you remove a painted part of the car that you want to match and take it to the paint suppliers in Chichester that I use. There is a man there who is brilliant at mixing paint to match. He has done quite a few for me including a very difficult unknown 40 year old blue. It took two attempts but was a perfect match in the end.
Will send you their details.

The blue sample colours that have been described did not line up with samples original on our NB 2 seater. We checked with the Late Terry Andrews and TOmmm in the Usa and all of us agreed to tomms samples.

Tony,

I like the colors on your car, so I'll be happy to take it off your hands. You may ship it to me any time.

I have added the photo to the file for NA0795 which looks to be very original.

Whenever I try to park in Harrogate there's always one hovering about!

Here are a few shots of my NB under different lighting conditions. We had a very good duo-blue PB from California and a duo-blue NA from Arizona to use as paint matches. They are close to the recommended colors that Dick mentioned, but since we had these terrific samples (under running boards and under NA spare tire hub) for both blues we computer matched them - just because we could, I guess. After I cut out the nice original blue sections from the body tubs and polished the original paint, and matching then spraying new single stage urethane samples, the old cut out pieces absolutely disappeared when set on the new spray outs.

The photo NZ Rod sent looks very accurate.

Tom

I have added a couple of the pictures to the file - excluded the one of the paint tins.
