Hello Kurt, I have probably a solution. I just finish my dashboard and I have a template of it. Exact shape and sizes.

Kurt, A note of caution: the PB dashboard I bought did not match the shape of the scuttle 'humps' (see below)- have had to make a new dashboard.

Cor ! Bruce , I’ll bet that gave you the hump eh ?. Seriously , it could be that your scuttle has become mis-shaped over the years . All those years under a tarpaulin might have done that . |

I don't imagine on our £200 cars too much attention was paid to this. I've always assumed (that word again!) that that's why there is a thick piece of piping around the top.
I used my dreadful original as a pattern and it fitted reasonably well, but certainly needed the piping, and I don't think a Rolls Royce restorer would have accepted it.

I'd agree with Dave that the fit of the dashboard to the scuttle wasn’t brilliant - see how well my car was done!
But having said that, the template that Yves shows looks like it would be a much better fit.

Back in the 70's I used black milking machine hose, slit lengthwise and flapped over the edge to make a seal. It worked well on a less than perfect fitting dashboard made from the bottom panel of a piano.
Things have moved on. |

Well Ray, The replacement scuttle (a part of the whole new body tub) was new, as was the dashboard and the 'humps' didn't match hence the note of caution. Probably a common result with hand-built/replica parts, also a potential problem with 1930's period originals - i.e. many parts had to be fettled/fitted to mate together.
PS. I still have the remains of the original 'humped' scuttle top panel, if anyone's interested.

Thanks everyone, I Already received some measurements, and get a template, so I can Fins out the positioneren the holes. Apparently no two cars are the same, so I Will first make a Mold in 3mm to fit and to adjust before I start making the final dashboard.
I Will post Some pictures when it’s ready. Regards Kurt
