I have lost the original top to one of my bonnet catches. Does anyone have such a thing in their 'bits and pieces' box that they could sell me ? The MG badge is not needed as a King George V sixpence does just as well .

Yes, but that's shiny, new , expensive and the whole thing. I was hoping for just the knurled top - worn , original patinated , cheap !

How cheap is cheap? I have one which I offered ages ago on wanteds and got no reply. Postage from South Africa is very slow but bits did get to the UK previously after about 6 weeks!

Many thanks for your reply. In the absence of any quick offers, I have now asked 'skilled man with lathe' to turn me out a couple in brass. Hopefully they will fit and look the part. But if you could let me know the cost of yours , including the postage to UK , it might be worth my keeping a spare.
