Hi , I am experiencing great difficulty in contacting Formhalls who are an engineering works and a white metal bearing specialist based in Downton Wiltshire .
Appreciate any information

Hi Nick , thanks for that information but the phone number ends in 241 , which I have tried for over two weeks now and left emails , I’m very concerned as they have my engine !
I live a days drive away and don’t want to chance going down there in case it’s all locked up .
A business that doesn’t answer phone calls or emails for that amount of time is of concern.
I am now trying to track down neighbouring businesses to see if they have any info .

Thanks Ian , I have done this check already and it looks worrying doesn’t it, my concern now is if i travel down there and find that the doors are locked ! So I am going to to try and contact other businesses on the estate tomorrow for any information.

Can I suggest you look at the link provided by Ian and then go to the People tab and then click on the names of the active directors and you will see that these guys have a number of car related businesses. Based on very little I would suggest they have recently taken over the business of Formhalls.
You could ring the accountants, Tudor John LLP whose address is being used as the registered office for this group of companies and ask if they would forward a request for somebody to ring you to one of the directors.
Just thoughts.

It appears that the last of the Formhalls family left the company in 2017 and just recently on the 26 August one director, Richard Messant resigned and on the same day two directors were appointed Howard Nash and Mark Page, then on the 3rd September they changed their registered address from Downton Business Centre to Nightingale House East Street Epsom. So there has been big changed very recently.

Hi I have just returned from Formhalls who I am pleased to say are operational although the services of a receptionist to answer phones and reply email would be a definite help!
Can I thank you all for offering me advice and assistance in helping to reunite me with my engine thanks Ian for the advice to go down NOW...which I did and also thanks Nick for actually going round to the works and to check for me , unfortunately I didn't have IT connections to let you know sooner .
It was all very much appreciated , pints all round!

I had an engine recently white metalled at Formhalls and I must say I had no issues with them. I was invoiced at the end of each month which was promptly settled and the engine was also delivered to me on a Saturday which was also greatly appreciated.
