Again I'm looking for a few more parts to progress the resuscitation of NA0651:

Distributor (DQH6A or DUH6A) found
Pitman (steering drop) Arm - can be from PA/B, TA, TB. or TC found
Clutch Driven Plate - NA or PA or PB found
"top hat" piece from front of crank - S&V show it opposite page 24 as part E3/18 but don't list it. found

My budget is limited so If I hit pay dirt, I may not be able to buy everything at once, but any help is greatly appreciated.

Lew,
Re your quote ""top hat" piece from front of crank - S&V show it opposite page 24 as part E3/18 but don't list it."

My S&V catalogue, page 21, lists Illustration Nos. E2-18 & E3-18 Crankshaft thrust washer, hardened and ground, as S&V Part No.: 1362.

I know, Bruce. It's been a long while since I restored my PA which has a similar albeit bigger engine, so I don't remember how things went together. I don't recall having a similar piece, but I could be wrong. A REALLY detailed drawing or better yet a detailed photo showing the parts and the order of assembly would be immensely helpful.
I was lucky enough to acquire two new white metal thrust washers, but no skew or bevel gears yet, so I am still confused on what is still needed and correct.

Hi Lew

I guess you mean the item shown in red, fits in the nose section and is white metaled?

That's it exactly, Rich. I'll check with S&V on my next order to see if they have them.

Had I been able to find the thread when I built up my PA engine, I wouldn't have needed to ask the same all over again.

So thanks all!

I'm back on the trail for a distributor. I have received a distributor marked DQH6 (not DQH6A), but I'm confused. The body is shorter that what I expected and does not appear to have been cut off. The base plate has been mounted into the very bottom of the body and it has no advance mechanism. So I need some advice and help, Could someone send me information and possibly photos:
1) Does this sound like anything with which you may be familiar?
2) Did Lucas ever make a DQH6 distributor that use a Bakelite baseplate that sat on top of the cast metal body?
3) Can anyone send photos of such a distributor, including the advance mechanism and base plate?

This is what mine looks like:
