Interesting bit of historical trivia -
From two original (a J2 and a P type) seatbacks, there is a tag on the springcase reads "The Web Spring Co. Ltd. Sandiacre, Nottingham." Written on the back in pencil is "Morris MG P Type" with another line illegible on the tag from the P seat.
Likely one of the main suppliers for springcases for the Morris group. There were several springcase manufacturers in the Nottingham area, and it appears Wade Spring is the "heir" to many of these.

Excellent Tom. Sandiacre is not too far from me so next time I'm down that way I will check to see what's left.
